The SG Updates via the SG Yahoo Group have steadily premiere-announced confirmed details for our 2011 gathering; first word information also was reported in the Double SG #119-#120 Official DS Newsletter earlier this year. The upcoming new SG #121 published newsletter will have last-minute Fest news.

Nancy (Carolyn Stoddard, Millicent Collins, Charity Trask, Leticia Faye) will join us at the 45th Anniversary Celebration. This marks her first Fest appearance in 5 years.
She joins previously-announced guests JONATHAN FRID, DAVID SELBY, LARA PARKER, JERRY LACY, KATHRYN LEIGH SCOTT, CHRIS PENNOCK, KATHLEEN CODY, MARIE WALLACE, DONNA WANDREY, SHARON SMYTH, and DENISE NICKERSON. More guests to be announced.
SG announces: A tentative schedule of events will be available in a few weeks via the SG Official Online DS News Updates through the SG Yahoo Group, the new SG #121 print issue, and to those fans who have pre-registered memberships.
SG Reminder: The Fest's closing event on the evening of Sun., Aug. 21, is a Banquet & DS Awards Ceremony. Fans who plan to attend the Banquet must send their non-refundable dinner reservation payment of $80 to the Fest postal-mail address below. This must arrive at the Fest address by Aug. 12.
Jonathan Frid only will be at the Fest on Saturday and Sunday. His autograph will only be available to Banquet attendees, who each will receive a personalized commemorative Barnabas photo signed by Jonathan (included in Banquet payment).
PLEASE see SG Update #239, previous Updates, and SG #119-#120 print issue for full information about the hotel, plus a breakdown on programming events for each day of the Fest. Our other guests will sign free autographs and pose for photos at no charge during the weekend.
It is recommended that fans purchase their admission memberships in advance to receive the tentative programming schedule. Attending memberships at the same rates will be sold at the door. Pre-registrations and Dinner reservations must be received by 8-12-11.
You will be sent a receipt by return mail. Bring this receipt with you to the Fest Registration Table in the hotel ballroom area to pick up your membership badge and convention Program Book. You must wear your badge to enter all Fest activities during the weekend..There is no additional charge for any Fest programming except the Sunday evening Banquet,.

SG does advise fans that other convenient options are available at one of the following hotels. Each is approximately 1 mile away with easy taxi and subway access to the Brooklyn Bridge Marriott: You may be able to share cab or train rides with other fans staying at these hotels.

**** DS AT COMIC CON INTERNATIONAL
LARA PARKER (Angelique, Cassandra, Alexis, Catherine) and KATHRYN LEIGH SCOTT (Maggie, Josette, Rachel, Kitty) will sign autographs and participate in a DS panel discussion on Fri,.7- 22. They will be signing at the Hermes Press booth from approximately 1-6:00 pm.
There also will be a DS panel talk in Room 4 of the Convention Center from 6-7:00pm that evening (July 22) with Lara, Kathryn, and others, discussing DS itself, "current activities and the new movie."
Hermes Press is reprinting the original 1960-70s Gold Key DS comic books in hardbound volumes .Debuting at Comic Con is Hermes' reprint of the DS Story Digest. Hermes publicity: The "long-lost Digest illustrated graphic novel from 1970...has been completely recolored and redesigned." This reissue is "digitally remastered from the original book and also includes supplemental photos from the TV show."
The annual Comic Con International event is at the San Diego Convention Center and surrounding vicinity July 21-24. www.comic-con.org
The convention has become a vital major opportunity for film studios, TV networks, production companies, actors/actresses, directors, writers, publishers, gaming companies/sources, costumers/makeup artists, and a vast variety of similar groups and individuals to directly reach the public/popular culture/fanboy-girl audience. Drawing crowds of approximately 120,000, the event features a massive Exhibit Hall area and many tracks of panels, guest appearances, advance screenings, talks, and much more.
